Being a college student takes up a lot of time. We want to make life easier with these keyboard shortcuts that are easy to memorize!

An Apple computer’s “ctrl” replaces the “ctrl”

1. Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V

  • The classic but essential shortcuts are “ctrl+c” which copies highlighted text to then later past it with “ctrl+v.”

2. Ctrl+Z

  • This will undo any change. This is very convenient if someone accidentally deletes too much of a document.

3. Ctrl+F

  • This life-saving shortcut allows for text search. This can be done by searching keywords in an article or online book.

4. Ctrl+Shift+X

  • This shortcut is used to strike-through text. This is perfect for creating lists and being able to cross them off in the same document.

5. Alt+esc

  • This shortcut may require some toggling and allowing access in the accessibility settings. Once the settings are set up, this shortcut allows for the computer to read highlighted text out loud. This shortcut can possibly convert an ebook into an audio book!
