We are in an era where some days we might be learning and working remotely, while other days we are expected to be in a classroom or office. It might start to get tricky to transport your files from one place to another, so here are some recommendations we have.
iCloud
- If you are using an Apple device and you sign in with your Apple ID in different devices then you might be able to access the same files. Depending on your settings you can manage where your files are stored. To manage your files visit Apple Support here.
NAU Bonsai Drive
- All current NAU students, faculty and staff have access to an NAU Bonsai Drive. This type of home drive is to give individuals a place to store their work files and documents where they are backed up daily for over a month, and are accessible from any computer with an Internet connection. Flash Drives
- Flash Drives with USB ports are easy to carry and convenient in transporting files. The range in storage capacity and price. They can be found at convenience stores, office supply stores, and on Amazon.
Microsoft Teams
- Teams can be a collaborative tool that most workplaces (especially on-campus ones) offer. Files can be stored and shared here among various organizations that have an Office 365 account.
- Microsoft Teams is free to download for students, staff, and faculty.
Google Drive
- Google Drive might be the easiest way to store files as an NAU student. Students have unlimited file storage that can easily be accessed through their NAU Gmail account. These files can also be shared with anyone via email.
