In this digital age, it can be difficult to manage assignments and track deadlines. It can start to feel overwhelming not having a routine or professor to remind you of your deadlines. Here are some tips we have for you:
User a Paper Planner
- Use a planner, but write everything from the syllabus ahead of time… it can be really easy to forget to write in it.
- If you don’t want to write everything down, print every syllabus and keep them together. You can check each day if there is anything you need to do.
Digital Planners
- Utilize online planners (Microsoft Teams, an agenda planner, Google Calendar, etc). This might be easier for some people because you can always have your to-do list on your phone.
- The only downside is that you might get distracted on your phone and forget to check your planner.
BbLearn Tools
- Check your BbLearn calendar consistently. Most assignments and deadlines are on there. The exception to these are discussion posts so stay on the lookout for those if your professor assigns discussion posts as homework.
White Board Calendars
- Keeping a white board calendar at eye view will help remind you of big assignments and exams that are coming up each month. These are great for “out of sight, out of mind” people, who need to constantly see something in order to not forget it.
