With summer on its way, students are already preparing their schedules. In the summer of 2020 many students stayed home due to the pandemic, and found new hobbies through their isolation. A popular trend that occurred during this time frame was the growth of new small businesses!

When starting a new business, design plays a bigger role than one usually notices. When you’re browsing the library shelves I’m sure that you are subject to “judging a book by its cover”, and sometimes the design on the cover is what convinces you to buy the product entirely. This universal judgement applies to every business, so it is important to prioritize your graphics.

What Graphics Might I Need?

  • Website banner
  • Business logo
  • Business cards
  • Advertisements for social media
  • Infographics
  • Packaging
  • Feature Images
  • And more!

Whether your trade is making jewelry or selling insurance, all of the listed components contribute to the branding of a business.

Designing can be intimidating at times if you don’t already know a Graphic Designer and have no background with graphics. Because of this, many will make the abrupt decision to purchase all of the programs offered by Adobe. While Northern Arizona University Students can get these services for free with their NAU account, it is restricted to educational purposes. Luckily, there are other options that are beginner friendly and inexpensive!
