NAUFlex does a great job at providing a safe environment for remote or in-person learning. We understand that at times it can be difficult to find the motivation to study at home. It can get tricky to feel motivated in your bedroom, which is where you normally do your sleeping and resting. Take our ideas with a grain of salt, as everyone is different, and some may have compromised immune systems, which means the safest place to study would be at home. If you have COVID or COVID symptoms please stay at home. Any place you decide to study, make sure you wear a mask, bring sanitary wipes, hand sanitizer, and wash your hands often. Here are our top 5 recommendations (in no particular order):

1.Cline

  • Lumberjacks can reserve a study room for free! In a study room you can video conference without the distractions of people around you. You can reserve a study room here.
  • You can also go to the library and find an empty table or desk without a reservation.

2. North Quad

  • It’s nice to soak up the sun and study outside. Bring a blanket and get some fresh air while you study.

3. Study Lounges (in dorms and in off-campus housing)

  • Study lounges are a nice alternative to reserving a study room at the library. Oftentimes, student housing has these lounges and reservations aren’t required. Check with your leasing offices or student housing to see what is available for you.

4. Vacant Campus Space

  • With the NAUFlex schedule you may find a little nook around campus to study before your next class. The Union, Liberal Arts building, and so many others have spaces that might help increase your focus.

5. The Park

  • Flagstaff has beautiful parks where you can disconnect and catch up on readings.
  • You can visit Buffalo, Thorpe, or Bushmaster’s park.
  • If you are not in Flagstaff then look up the nearest parks near you!
